My Children Gone Country!

Today is Go Western Day here in Houston,TX. Schools and companies across the city dress in their country western outfit. My hubby bought me a pair of boots last week so hopefully soon you will see them in a post.  The kids learned the Texas Two Step in the past two weeks and today they will be performing the Texas Two Step during their gym time. They were so excited about today that they woke up extra early this morning. My kids hardly ever wake up by themselves unless it is a special day like today.

I love this time of the year because the Rodeo comes to town and we love to go see the livestock. Not only do we love the cows and horses but we love the food!!!! Right now I can picture that big juicy turkey leg. Some of you know what I am talking about if you have ever been to a festival that turkey leg is off the chain!!! They also have a huge carnival that comes along with the Rodeo that we like to take the kids too as well.

One of my dreams is to retire and live on about 5 acres of land in the middle of nowhere with maybe a couple of horses on top of a hill with a beautiful view of nature. I am a city girl but country at heart and I am so glad my children love the country as well.
