Many of you do not know this but I am in LOVE with Africa! Not only are my ancestors from there but Africa is where God has called me to minister!!! It all started when I met my husband who is from Liberia. I began to research about his country and the war that nearly destroyed his country. My heart was so broken over this and I knew that I had to do something. Africa then became apart of my prayers and then my love affair with Africa began. Not only was I praying for Liberia but I began to pray for the whole entire continent of Africa.
Never in a million years did I ever think that I was called to be a missionary/evangelist. Yes, you heard right! God has called me and I have finally answered. I must admit at first I was afraid but as God started to condition my heart I am no longer afraid. I am ready when the time comes for me to return to my homeland and set the captives free! Wow, I am in tears because God is taking little ordinary Nicky to do something extraordinary in Africa. God knew the plans that He had for me before I was knitted in my mother's womb and everything that I have gone through in life has prepared me for the road ahead in Africa.
I am now free to share this part of me because I am no longer afraid of what people will say especially my family. I have to do what thus says the Lord. Just like Abraham in the Bible had to leave to go to the land God showed him, I must do the same also. I am just waiting and interceding for Africa right now until the Lord tells me to go. The Lord told me about two years ago to get my passport but I didn't know why until a year ago. I still haven't got my passport but this is the year that I will get it so God can open that door when the time comes.
I want to share that in my prayer time, I heard these words "Africa is Arising"!!!! For those of you from Africa and countries that have been torn apart with war, famine, poverty and disease there is HOPE! I am praying with you and for you. God is sending those He has called not only into Africa but other nations as well to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to set them on fire for God. I am honored to represent Africa and stand in the gap for them as an Ambassador for Christ.
Do You Know Your Purpose?
This is amazing! I read the first line of this post and knew I had to keep reading. I'm in love with Africa as well. Even though I was born on the beautiful continent, I didn't realize how amazing, beautiful and diverse Africa is until I got older.
ReplyDeleteI wish you the best of luck in ministering the Word in Africa.

DeleteWhat a Great Post! God knew the plans he had for you while in your mother's womb and it is so Awesome that you decided to answer the call. Every one isn't called to do the same thing but I always have a great respect for Missionaries and Evangelist because going into the field to God's work is not always easy.
